Test a sample of the paint color before you buy a can

Paint colors don’t look the same in the store as on your wall. Now, for $4, paint companies offer 4-ounce baggie of a few colors for you to test at home on a 2 ft x 2 ft area. The good stores, for $5, will custom mix a 8-ounce container so you have enough paint to fully test your unique color.

Take the paint swatches home again. Instead of having the usually 3 quarts of paint to test for $45, you’ve got 24 ounces for $15. That’s good savings if you paint 3 rooms with ceilings.
